while it's still within a week of independence day, i better share my 4th of july festivies! 

i was almost to nick's house in akron, concentrating on stopping at a red light and waiting for it to turn green.. when i realized the beautiful sunset right in front of my eyes!

then before we knew it, the sun was gone and the fireworks were starting!  we found a nice little spot ontop the steps near ej thomas

these ones have always been my favorite.. the ones that look like a million diamonds just exploded in the sky and then they twinkle allll the way down. 

BOOOM!   hahaha ok then there was this lady RIGHT next to us.. i'm talking two feet away... and after every firework.. and i mean EVERY FIREWORK.  SINGULAR.  she would say OH HOW BEAUTIFUL or THESE ARE GORGEOUS or AMAZING I CAN'T BELIEVE IT... she was older too.. and i'm thinking to myself.. has this lady never seen fireworks?  and i'm also thinking... SHUTUPPPP PLEASE!  seriously. 

anyways.. the fireworks were still beautiful.. and i even had someone right next to me to remind me of how beautiful they were every two seconds.

wigglysquiggly!  this made me think "chaos" which then made me think "britney spears"

and finally the finale!  which actually the lady was pretty quiet through.. all the booms and lights must have overwhelmed her.

then.. there were none.  so sad.

so me and nick smiled for the camera :]  his beautiful blue eyes never stay open for the camera though, what a dumb butt!  harhar

then he tried to lick my face and i said NO YUCKY!  and my double chin went into action.

and that was my 4th of july.  love you!

alright well, first things first...  some birthday and salt fork pictures! 

my birthday cake.. i opted for the confetti cake and frosting this year tehe... and we didn't have 20 candles so i did a little.. band formation type thing... and made a 20.

then right after my bday steph and i drove out to salt fork friday evening after she got off work!  my parents were already out there

steph's mom gave us some really yummy cherries for the trip!  mmm

HEY TODAY IS MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!  I AM TWENTY!  I FEEL OOOOLD!  weeeeeeeeird.

nick took me out to dinner last night and then we had a strawberry banana milkshake from mcdonald's for dessert.  then we rented lemony snickets.  hahaa i liked it.  the little baby girl cracks me up.  love you :]

then i got some happy birthday texts and calls.. it's a lovely feeling to know someone is thinking about you out of love.  at this very time last year i was on a plane home from bolivia.  how bittersweet. 

tonight is dinner with the family at the garden of olives... then probably out to coldstone with stephanie and nick.  :]
